Stefanie Haeffele-Balch, a Ph.D. candidate in economics at George Mason University, researches the political economy of nonprofit social enterprises, or voluntary organizations with social missions. Her work focuses on how nonprofits engage in social learning to deliver on their goals. She also studies how various government interventions impact the ability of nonprofits to engage in learning to achieve their mission.

Nathanael Snow, a Ph.D. candidate in economics at George Mason University, researches the organization of private institutions. In particular, he investigates the various forms of polity of American Christian denominations, the impact of polity on responsiveness to secular policy changes, and the interaction between polity and belief. He uses these insights to provide a tractable model that explains the ongoing political churn within American Evangelicalism.
